The Badger takes hand-finished full-grain leather in Brandy — a warm, deep brown with reddish light in it — and puts it on a clean chukka profile that goes anywhere a shoe goes, plus everywhere a shoe will not. Full-grain is the strongest cut of the hide, and the hand finishing gives each pair its own depth of colour. The construction underneath is Goodyear welted, meaning the sole is stitched on and can be replaced when it wears through. Flat waxed cotton laces run through custom reinforced eyelets. Inside, the boot is fully lined with supple glove leather, the cork-bed midsole forms to your foot with wear, a DuraEVA comfort strip softens each step, and the antimicrobial insoles absorb shock.
