Basalt Full-Grain Leather Boot

There are boots you save and boots you use. The Basalt is the second kind — hand-finished full-grain leather in the warm brown Jasper shade, built on hardware chosen for the long haul rather than the shop window. Start at the bottom: durable studded rubber outsoles, joined to the upper with Goodyear welt construction, which means resoling is routine maintenance instead of a lost cause. The full-grain leather above it is the top layer of the hide, hand-finished so the colour has depth and no two pairs match exactly. Flat waxed cotton laces feed through custom reinforced eyelets. Inside, a supple glove leather lining runs wall to wall, the cork-bed midsole learns the shape of your foot, a DuraEVA comfort strip cushions the stride, and antimicrobial insoles absorb the shock of hard pavement. Wear it until the sole goes, resole it, repeat. That is the whole plan.
