The Belmont is built from Natural Chromexcel, the famous leather out of the Horween Tannery in Chicago — a leather people recognise on sight and argue about at length. Colour variation between pairs is expected here, and it is exactly the point: no two hides take the finish the same way, and that variation is a large part of what makes this leather so distinctive. The rest of the boot keeps up. Goodyear welt construction stitches the upper to durable studded rubber outsoles, keeping the pair resoleable for decades of theoretical service. The interior is fully lined in supple glove leather, cork-bed midsoles form to your feet, and a DuraEVA comfort strip takes the edge off hard floors. Flat waxed cotton laces close it through custom reinforced eyelets, over antimicrobial shock-absorbing insoles. Natural Chromexcel starts pale and earns its colour from you — sun, wear, time. Every mark stays part of the record.
