Crockett Badland Roughout Boot

Roughout is the flesh side of the hide worn outward — tougher against scrapes, indifferent to scuffs — and the Crockett takes it waxed, in the dusty brown Badland shade, on the burliest chassis the line offers. The wax settles the nap and deepens the colour, and what is underneath deserves the armour: double stitched stitchdown construction, Vibram V100 rubber lug outsoles, and a 22mm stacked leather woodsman heel. The insoles are Vachetta leather, forming to your feet with wear rather than arriving pre-shaped, and leather reinforcement runs through the shank, heel counter and toe box. Two sets of laces come included — a Kevlar blend, plus an extended-length Kevlar set for wrapping around the boot. Waxed roughout does not ask to be babied, which is the entire appeal. Wear the Crockett like a tool, and it will look more like itself every month.
