The Crossley is the straight-ahead version of the expedition boot: Canyon leather, rugged and resilient, warm mid-brown, on the double stitched stitchdown build that this line reserves for its hardest-working silhouettes. Stitchdown construction flares the upper outward and sews it down — twice, here — producing a visibly overbuilt seam that shrugs off what dressier constructions cannot. Vibram V100 rubber lug outsoles put deep tread under every step, and a 22mm stacked leather woodsman heel finishes the stance. Vachetta leather insoles form to your feet with wear. The shank, heel counter and toe box all carry leather reinforcement, and the box includes two sets of laces: a Kevlar blend, and an extended-length Kevlar set for wrapping around the boot. This is the boot for the version of your week that involves weather, distance and no pavement. It also happens to look right with jeans anywhere.
