Olive Oil Cordovan from the Shinki Hikaku tannery is about as rare as boot leather gets: shell cordovan, in a deep green-brown that shifts with the light. The Gable carries it on a build worthy of the shell — stitchdown construction, handcrafted by the most senior artisans. Cordovan does not crease; it rolls, and it outlasts nearly every other leather in existence. The stitchdown join sews the upper outward and down for visible strength. Vibram Christy wedge outsoles keep the ride cushioned, Vachetta leather insoles form to your feet with wear, and leather reinforcement runs the shank, heel counter and toe box.
